Along the street with many antique shops in Cold Spring, I found an interesting shop sign - at least I thought it was a shop, one of those antique shops.  But it turned out to be a real police department and Justice Court.

We all enjoyed walking along the street.  There were many interesting-looking shops of antiques and souvenirs.  The buildings and the street were picturesque.  And autumn color was beautiful.  Glad that we could come here at this time of the year.

Cold Spring is a village of antique shops. And the view from the river side is beautiful particularly at this time of the year.  The day we visited there was a cold windy day but we managed to have a view at the river front.

It seems this place is a symbol of Cold Spring but couldn't find why it became a symbol of the village.

We entered into several antique shops.  This one on the website of Cold Spring Visitors' Guide is one of them.

On the way from West Point to Cold Spring, we used Bear Mountain - Beacon Highway.  There was a beautiful bridge near Fort Montgomery.  The mountain near the bridge was full of autumn color.

I guess the real scene is usually better than the photograph particularly in terms of autumn foliage.

Last weekend, I went to cycling with my daughter as usual.  The autumn color was at its peak.  And this time, photos are quite OK.  There are many different kinds of reds, yellows and browns.

West Point has several chapels.  This is one of those.  In autumn days, there are many weddings here.

It was during my college days that I first learned the name of West Point. I saw a couple of cadets at a debate tournament in Japan. Since then, I wanted to visit the Military Academy one day. 

I was told that West Point was beautiful in autumn. Some of my friends visited Cold Spring this year and told me that West Point was on the way. So we visited there to enjoy autumn foliage. 

I think the timing was great. It was chilly but the autumn color was gorgeous.

The Minuteman Statue was near from North Bridge.  We saw the statue and saw the battlefield of the Independent War.

The area seemed to be closed to the public due to the government shutdown but nobody cared...:-)
