No.207: A Trip to PEI Part 5 - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #drawing

On the way to PEI, we took ferry so on the way back, we crossed the Confederation Bridge.  By the way, one thing which I still couldn't figure out is that we didn't have a chance to pay the fee of ferry.  Right after we got on board, the ferry started and nobody asked us to pay.  When we left the ferry, we asked where we could pay and were told that if we went out there would be the place.  But we didn't find anything and we realized we were on the highway.  Sorry!

The pizza we had at "J3 Pizza" in Lunenburg was very good.

Anne-related sightseeing spots in Prince Edward Island.

Montgomery's Birth House

Green Gables at Cavendish

Bookshop at Cavendish

Stamps at Post Office Near Montgomery's House
Japanese Stamps at Montgomery's Birth House

To tell the truth, Green Gables was a bit disappointing.  It wasn't real, of course because Green Gables is a story anyway, but it seems too touristic for me.  Montgomery's Birth House was much better and heartwarming so was Montgomery's Aunt House which I posted yesterday.

No.204: A Trip to PEI Part 2 - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #drawing

We visited many Anne of Green Gables related places in Prince Edward Island.
One of them is an old train station of Kensington.

Anne of Green Gables Museum was a house of the aunt of Montgomery.

There is a carriage ride in this museum.  This old-fashioned carriage matches with the landscape so I decided to take photos.  Then the carriage stopped.  At first, I didn't understand but soon I realized that the coachman stopped the carriage so that I could take a good photo.

The nature of PEI was very peaceful.  It was really enjoyable to drive around.

No.203: A Trip to PEI Part 1 - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #drawing

Kids went to a summer camp so my husband and I decided to enjoy our trip to Prince Edward Island.

The cottage we stayed was Shaw's Hotel.  (Oops, it's not Saw's Hotel but Shaw's Hotel.)

Before getting here, we went to Charlottetown.  Ah, before that, we went to a lighthouse.  There are so many lighthouses all around PEI.

This is ship builder James Peake's Beaconsfield Historic House.

The streetscape of Charlottetown.

We watched the musical "Anne and Gilbert".

We had a dinner at Claddagh Oyster House.  It was a very excellent restaurant with delicious oysters from many places in PEI.

These are what we had.  Even scones are nice.

No.202: Burlington and a Concert in Saratoga Springs - One Drawing Each Day #pen #drawing #sketch

Usually, my kids don't like long-hour drive.  They will get board soon.  But this time, they were so interested in and excited about the Big Time Rush Summer Concert in Saratoga Springs that they didn't complain very much.

Burlington was a lovely lakeside town.

Children's favorite band Big Time Rush held a fun concert.  Victoria Justice was also good.  It was a part of their summer concert tour.
