No. 184: Yankees vs. Twins under the Rain -One Drawing Each Day #pen #drawing #sketch

We went to watch Yankees vs. Twins on July 12th. It was raining and became quite heavy so finally the game was interrupted for one and half hour. But Kuroda kept pitching even after the game restarted and the Yanks won.

No.183: Philadelphia Museum of Art - July 4th Weekend - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #travel #drawing

Last part of Philadelphia was Museum of Art.  So many familiar paintings and sculpture.
There, I found a T shirt of Picasso's Flowers of Peace which I like very much.  I remember I tried to draw the same kind of picture.  Since they sell T shirt, I thought I could find the original lithograph but I couldn't.

The museum is also famous for Rocky Steps and the Statue of Rocky.  It was funny to see people lining up in order to take photos by the statue, but we did, too.

No.182: Philadelphia - July 4th Weekend Part 5 - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #drawing #travel

On July 6th, we fully enjoyed Philadelphia.  First we went to see Liberty Bell.  Philadelphia Visitors Center had a lots of information about Independence era and it has a large souvenir shop.  Then we went to Betsy Ross House.  We also saw Quakers' meeting places as well as Benjamin Franklin's grave.  In order to go inside the graveyard, you have to pay, so we saw it from outside.  Then we went to Independence Hall.

No.181: Lancaster and Philadelphia - July 4th Weekend Part 4 - One Drawing Each Day #sketch #pen #drawing #travel

From Baltimore, we went to Lancaster and visited Amish village.  A grocery store was pretty good with lots of stuff.  When we parked in front of Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, we met a young man who was planning to visit Japan next August.

We expected the restaurant in Barnes Foundation was somewhat nicer ... it was not very good looking but the dishes were delicious.

It was Friday so the museum was open till late.  And there was a free jazz concert in the lobby.

No.180: Baltimore - July 4th Weekend Part 3 - One Drawing Each Day #pen #sketch #drawing #travel

The dinner we had on July 4th at Rusty Scupper was really delicious.  I chose fish dish which had many kinds of fish and shell fish.  Crab cake was especially great.  It had lots of crab meat frames inside   which was quite different from crab cake of Trader Joe's.
On July 5th, we first visited Fort McHenry, the birthplace of the National Anthem.  And then went to B&O Railroad Museum.  This is the oldest railroad museum in the US.

No.179: Leray Caverns - July 4th Weekend Part 2 - One Drawing Each Day Series #pen #sketch #drawing

One July 4th, we started our trip from Leray Caverns.  This is the largest cavern in East Coast.  The shapes of rocks inside were very beautiful and magical.  Dream Lake was extremely beautiful.  The water was so pure that the reflexion was indistinguishable from the real one.  You tour around in a group but I wish I had more time to take photos.
