CAPA World Aviation Yearbook 2013: Transport Issue of the Day #aviation #transportation

CAPA published World Aviation Yearbook.

It's downloadable.
Here are some of the interesting statistics.

Passengers % Increase (Source: CAPA)
The title says that legacies stand still but does it really stand?  In any case, the interesting part is that between 2011 and 2012, even LCC reduced the growth rate and the rapid growth of Emirates and Etihad Airways is remarkable.

World's top aviation countries by seats:

  1. USA
  2. China
  3. UK
  4. Germany
  5. Japan

Quater of seats capacity is by LCC.

Regent Street in London: One Drawing Each Day No.125 #pen #drawing #sketch

One of my favorite streets.

  1. Had a good discussion with my colleagues.
  2. Had an interesting talk with Mr. MR.
  3. Finally could have my shoes heels fix.
On the same day as Angelina Jolie posted her message on the New York Times, I received a message from my doctor saying there was something on the image taken by ultrasound.  It was a result of my second medical check after the mammography.

When I consider in retrospect, it was all kind of strange.  When I was about to go out after I finished the mammography, I was stopped and had to take another mammo for the right side.  When I went to take ultrasound image, I thought it took very long time.  When I finished, I asked the operator if there was anything I should note, she answered only that she would hand the results to the doctor who would compare with the results of mammography.

I will have to visit the breast surgery.  I desperately hope everything will finish ASAP.  Please God...

Biscuits of Marie: One Drawing Each Day No.122 #pen #drawing #sketch

I like Marie Biscuits very much.
Marie bisquits

They certainly go fine with a cup of tea.

The above tea pot was a mother's day gift from Akane.  Inside contained a packet of mint tea and a poem.

Sarabeth's at Scarsdale: One Drawing Each Day No. 121 #pen #sketch #drawing

I found Sarabeth's restaurant at Lord & Taylor. Some people say that Manhattan restaurants are better but this one was good, too and at least less expensive!

Transport Issue of the Day: All Clear for Sequester for Air Traffic Control #aviation #transportation

Statement from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

the recently enacted Reducing Flight Delays Act of 2013 will allow the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to transfer sufficient funds to end employee furloughs and keep the 149 low activity contract towers originally slated for closure in June open for the remainder of fiscal year 2013.
No worries during the holiday season starting from Memorial Day.  Good News!
